Limited to only 121 high-rise homes, this condominium is slated to challenge the conventional expression of luxury. Each generously-sized apartment is conceptualised to capture the essence and privacy of a black-and-white bungalow along with the facilities of a modern condominium. Bringing a contemporary touch to the gracious living of the past, all homes feature expansive balconies that also serve as covered living rooms. The project was a team effort between client, designer and carpenters. The client’s clear vision for the character of the space led the detailing and material choice. The ideas that promoting the aesthetic decisions of this project are related to the intention of reinterpret the neighbourhood living class. The palette of brass, black, fabric texture and timber combine to give a contemporary and individualised character to this apartment. There is an elevated level of precision and craftsmanship evidence in all elements. “The variety and combination of textures used in this design create a synergy in this home makes in truly unique.” The apartment provides a unique living setting for the owners and has the ability to be “opened and closed” as required during trips away - it is a low maintenance dwelling with excellent access to the facilities of the nearby city.
