Khan’s is located at the heart of the city centre of Bangsar South. The owner had rented the place from the UOA developers that specifically build this, The Sphere Building, To Carter for commercial purpose for the resident of Bangsar South that focus more on the F&B business. The concept and story behind this restaurant design were realized based on client ambitions and passion for traditional Indian cuisine. The owner had specifically known what to be served at his restaurant, which are the Southern and Northern food. Therefore, by his vision on introducing the traditional Indian cuisine to Malaysian which is quite new things to them, we try to make the design of the restaurant to be more contemporary and carry the lifestyle concept, which are easier for the new generation and Malaysian to accept.
With this passion and great ideas of rebranding the tradition Indian cuisine to a new level we try to play with simple, elegance and minimalist elements that easily accept by many generation and target users. The uses of materials such as, woof texture, glass, black matte, some brass lines and pattern texture had given certain impact towards the interior. The space was developed to have flexible layout that allowed the restaurant to be transformed to be an event space as the total area for the indoor dining are 4000sqft, which can occupy almost 200 guests at a time.
